The following 5 trails are my favorite places to hike along the skyline drive. Overall run falls, is found from mile 21.1 in the north district of the park. If you wanted to make it a loop and quite a bit longer and more strenuous, you could park at browns gap parking, milepost 82. Spanning the northern crest of the santa cruz mountains, it features so many of our region’s best hikes, waterfalls, vistas and big trees.

The trail is only a 1.4 miles round trip hike but has a 440 ft. They'll be able to tell you which waterfalls hikes are best for your family. This waterfall has a vertical drop of 42 feet, is exquisitely beautiful, and you can get close enough to almost touch it!
Skyline drive hiking trails offer a lot of variety, too. There are lovely waterfalls in each section of shenandoah national park. If i recall correctly, there is a waterfall at the end of the rose river falls fire trail (park at fishers gap overlook) and that would be an easy walk of about a mile on a fairly flat and wide trail.
